Anyone riding this at the weekend? Any advice taken.

I’ve not ridden that area before and am wondering what to expect. Given the name I’m guessing it’s chalky and therefore slippery as you know what off a shovel when wet ie now. Ride the Chilterns around Wendover sometimes so hopefully have some experience of the slippery conditions. Thinking of taking the 29 HT (on X Kings) rather than the 5-Spot, which was rubbish with its Smorgs/C-Monkey on their Fallen Leaves thing on the South Downs last December.

I ride over that way from time to time, and was out walking on Cranborne Chase at the weekend.

Expect clag of monumental proportions, slippery green chalk as you’d expect, interspersed with the occasional bottomless orangey-brown puddle.
