Need a bike for the boss. Road and the odd green run.

Whats the budget? MTB type or drop bar?

Been looking at bikes for t'missus – specialzed Myka looks a good bet as an MTB or EBC own hybrids

At that price the Edinburgh bike co op stuff is good. A couple of versions but this one?

I'm selling a really nice silver and turquoise 15" Rockhopper (which then got renamed the Myka HT)

Upgraded with Avid Juicy Five hydraulic disc brakes, otherwise fairly standard

I "won" it on Ebay two years ago, from a guy who bought it for his girlfriend – but then upgraded. Not sure if he meant the bike or the girlfriend! Would a non-cycling girlfriend be an upgrade ????

2006 model, but probably done less than 100 miles, so looking for £300

I just got my wife a Trek 7100 WSD – similar to your needs, a hybrid that'll mainly be used for gentle pootling.

    Myka.
Then when she has mastered green runs and wants to do a bit more you are future proofed.
My wife found the narrow tyres of a hybrid a bit lacking in control, grip and comfort for the green routes(Ae)that she is doing.
She now has a Myka, chosen for the dropped top tube compared to others.
