i have my booked and paid for but i can't seem to find the weight allowance anywhere.
It weighs in at 28kgs (i have some clothing, body armour, shoes and tools in which i don't think is allowed but i'll chance that) so does anyone know if that will get through without any additional charges?

Yes. Pay the bike charge and you can take;
20kg suitcase and 30kg bike bag
or
18kg suitcase and 32kg bike bag.
Bike bag can't weigh over 32kg, and your total can't be over 50kg

i took my road bike on a budget flight from dublin and by the time it got to baggage reclaim the box was in two pieces! i think the muppet baggage handlers had left it sitting in the rain for ages while waiting to load it on the plane

I thought you had to pay seperate charges for bike/sports equipment and suitcase? ... I've paid for my bike and I'm hoping to get some clothing in there too and take the rest in hand luggage as there was an extra charge if you want to put a case/bag in the hold?
Kojak...I wouldn't recommend you try that for one very good reason.
1.If they do decide to check your bike bag and dicover it filled with other stuff then you'll have no hold bag to put said items into! and then you'll be screwed.
We did put some stuff in our bike bags last year, like camelback reserviors and tools, but we still had plenty of room in our 1 hold bag should they have discoverd it! Your choice i quess but i personally wouldn't risk it for the sake of a few quid. We always book our flights as early as possible so that the total cost is as low as possible.
Our flights in September to Geneva are just under £200 for the 2 of us with 2 bike bags and 1 hold bag.
Cheers for that. I'm doing this for the first time. Web site says:
•The bicycle must be packaged in a bicycle box or bag
•Only one bicycle per bicycle box or bag will be permitted
•No other items can be carried in the bicycle box (i.e. clothing)
•The handlebars must be flush with the frame
•The pedals must be flush against the frame or removed
check-in 2 hours prior. Bicycles are subject to the sports equipment fee and exempt from any excess baggage charges relating to the weight of the bicycle.
I'd hope to carry stuff in the bike bag too...
I don't think I'd need another suitcase, I'm only going for 9 days so would find it difficult to fill another bag and I've used clothing and bits and pieces before to pad out the bike without any problems, would they make you remove bubble wrap and pipe lagging as it's not a 'bike' if you put it around your frame? First time taking a bike with easyjet for me.
But, my point was that 'Pay the bike charge and you can take; 20kg suitcase and 30kg bike bag' seems to suggest if you pay for just the bike you can also take 20kg in a suitcase, I'm sure when I booked a suitcase was extra and not inclusive in the charge paid for sports equipment, correct me if I'm wrong then I'll know I can take a suitcase as well without extra charges??
Can't really offer any other advice i'm afraid. We always need at least 1 hold bag as there is always 2 of us travelling.

I really hope I'm wrong about this as I'm off to Geneva on Wednesday, but this is straight from the Easyjet website. I still can't work out whether I have a 50kg or a 32kg limit for my case and the bike. Does anyone have any experience of this ? At the moment I'm interpreting this that my bike and case must not weigh more than 32kg.
Each passenger is allowed a maximum hold baggage weight of 50 Kgs including any sports equipment, subject to available space. The maximum weight for any single piece of baggage is 32 kgs.
An additional non-refundable fee is charged per item per flight for the carriage of the sporting equipment as set out in the table below:

Must have been about 10 bikes on the plane and all got through fine.
Just pack as much in the bike bag as possible to pad it out even more.

misterfrostie - if you pay for both your bike and a suitcase you get 50kg total with no one item able to weigh over 32kg. There is no doubt in this despite the lack of clarity in some of easyjets terms. The terms of carriage (which superseed anything else) includes the bit mrelectric put in his post about bikes being exempt from other excess charges. If they charge you at the airport incorrectly based on the bit you found they will refund you after. The only thing is that the bike bag is supposed to be for the bike only and they've looked in my bag before, but clearly the staff don't really know much about bikes generally so you could claim it was padding or similar.

Weather has been terrible for the last week but its looking like its hotting up just in time for us 
Apparently the Chevanne was back to being dry and dusty today. First day with no rain for a week.
Well back now and everything went fine. Case was 16kg and bike bag was 24 on way out. I put my armour in the bikebag and never was an issue.
Coming back I had some extra stuff in the bike bag and it was up to 27kg. The case was still about 16kg. The check in staff wanted to look inside my bike bag but a quick glance confirmed what she had thought - there was only a bike in there
Anyway, I found Easyjet superb. They dealt with a LOT of bikes on the way out as it was Passporte week but were admirable and didn't leave any behind despite teh pilot saying they were on the verge of not fittign them all in.
Top marks Easyjet - I for one will be using you again.
btw I did have an e mail from Easyjet which confirmed the 50kg limit for bike and suitcase, no single item can be over 32kg. You can also have a piece of hand luggage that has no maximum weight limit so long as it meets their dimensional requirements and you can lift it into the overhead locker unaided.
