Not sure I can be faffed with swapping the freehub to steel for a winter of ss. I have a wide base ss sprocket….

Do folk find they are OK on alu freehub?

    Cheers, Chris

    They’re fine.

On one groove armada normally fairly cheap.

To expand, I use an on-one wide base cog (I forget its name) on a Hope alloy freehub and it doesn’t dig in or gouge or anything.

Edit – aye, that’s it – Groove Armada.

Gusset Double SIx – 7mm wide base, available in wide range of sizes and around £12.

Used them for years and they wear very well.

I have seen even wide based cogs chew through alloy freehub bodies.

As it turns out, changing the axle adaptors meant the freehub was a doddle to replace for the steel one… So I did.

Now if only I could find the 135×10 qr to go with…..
