Had a Netgear N300 for a few years but it seems to have given up the ghost

Not looking to spend much. Netgear again or something else?

If you can stretch to it the BT mesh Wi-fi system is really good – just try two units to begin with as you may not even need the third one.

Failing that the huawei plug extenders work extremely well and cost around £30

I bought the cheapest Netgear plug in (power socket) one on Amazon when my room was the only one in a vast Victorian terraced student house that the main router didn’t reach. Worked absolutely fine.

Edit: just dug it out of the draw of many bits in the kitchen and it’s an N300 too.

We’ve had reasonable success in previous houses with power line adapters, but they are struggling a little in the current one. We’ve got a tplink wifi extender but it too seems really inconsistent
