Fantastic hardtail for trail centres, local singletrack etc. Sits nicely between a classic 100mm XC hardtail and a longer travel 'hardcore' hardtail. 120mm forks and a slack head angle kept it fun on the descents but it was still nippy and agile on the singletrack.
I'm selling though because injuries and work etc. have kept me off the bike more than on it, and I've got some holidays coming up in Vancouver and want a bigger bike!
No major changes from stock except the brakes, which are now Avid BB7s with Shimano XT levers. As far as I could tell they were as good as hydraulics, and could probably be better still if you wanted to retrofit 'posh' cables to them. Suited the bike perfectly though, no rub or drag or fiddling about. Saddle is also a Gusset R in white (not pictured)
Drivetrain is in great condition, and the forks have just been serviced (plenty of Judy Butter and fresh oil in the lowers). I had to tighten a couple of spokes on the back wheel early on after some particularly rooty trails, but its been fine since.
Extras include a set of very new Maxxis ADvantage tyres and a set of well used M540 pedals (bit of play, work fine).
Can also include a set of 2 Light and Motion Stella 150 lights. Perfect workhorse LED lights. 300 lumen, simple light and robust. Come with helmet mounts and can mount on the stem/handlebars.
I'll even throw in some size 44 Shimano MP66 shoes if anyone's interested.
