Sad but true.
I used to get all my bananas from the “Fifpence lady”.
Which in English means an armful of nanas for 50p.
She would stand there all day every day shouting Fifpence.
Then she obviously went off to a business seminar as the nanas were now being held in a carrier bag (that split one second after you bought the contents) and her new marketing strategy was “Pandalot”
Pound the lot.I was dared to ask her how much the nanas were. “PAND”
She may still be done Surrey Street Market but god knows what inflation will have done to her market call.

Everything in Surrey st market comes in plastic bowls now. Pandabol.
