  • why drill out the valve stem for stans tubless system?

    Just about to set up my new Stans no tubes system. the instructions say that I need to drill out my valve ste hole , in order to make inflation easier. I don’t understand how this can make any difference, the valve on the rim stip fits through the current normal sized hole. confused here

    It makes the rim strip lay flat and therefore it inflates easier
