  • Why do Fox forks have much taller bridges/braces than all the others?

    I can see that it adds weight (or cunning) to get equal rigidity but in this age of bigger tyres it’s such a huge benefit, especially when the British summer does its usual thing and turns into an impromptu mud bath. Considering Fox are Californian it’s not like you’d expect them to design for our weather.

    This was prompted by looking at loads of light-ish shorter (100-140mm travel) forks and despairing at the lack of space for big tyres and mud clearance. Looks like I’ll have to start saving…
