    With padding in the knees and other areas? You wouldn’t need separate knee pads and you could avoid the “tw(a)t” gap permanently. Full length longs with knee padding would be good too.

    Knees would be in different places due to leg length differences, so built in pads wouldn’t work for everyone.

    I thought I had solved this issue with goal keeping trousers from Decathlon.
    It was like pedalling with cardboard boxes taped to your knees and hips.

    I think some liners have hip protection which for me would be more use.
