    If you use them a lot it could be wear and tear if they are plastic.

    If it’s just certain things not working how they used to when connected then check there are no firmware/driver updates available.

    Mechanical systems are far more likely to fail than electronic ones. Wear.

    Yep as above wear. The plating on the connectors is quite thin. They could also be dirty, lots of opportunity for dust/grime to get pushed in and compacted

    Hoover tu suck out large bits, then isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud should do if it fits.
