After years of wanting an old school bmx to restore i finally got the go ahead from mrs fiola to stop nagging and buy one.
So, i bought a 1983 Mongoose California frame and forks.
I have since found out this project im never going actually ride will cost a mint to put it back as i want it.
For instance the sticker set ive just ordered has cost me £36.

If anyone wants rid of any old bmx parts, please feel free to contact me with details

I did the same with a old ‘Raleigh Burner’ , they are a money pit.
I got some bits re-anodised cost was in the region of £75 ,new pads just shy of £50.
The end result does look good though but I have probably ridden it 3 times since completing it so its now on eBay.
The money and space will go towards something I will use, a SS monster cross!
