Mine or my brotherinlaw’s?
He has an email I didn’t send that says it is from me, advertising some property company in the US.
Is he sure it’s actually from you?
A mate of mine sent me a message recently saying he’d received a weird message from me & thinks that my e-mail address must have been hacked.
But no one else had & there didn’t seem to be any weird activity on the account.
Upon further questioning, it turned out the first bit of the address was ‘my’ e-mail address but the rest wasn’t.
So, if my actual e-mail was “myemail at yahoo.com” for example, the e-mail he received was “myemail at notyahoo.com” with “myemail” set-up as the name, so the header of the mail looked like it was sent by me.
