    No real reason other than one of my bikes has always been that way,not better or worse than 9 speed imo.
    10 speed = gimmick for the muppets

    Got 8 speed on my roller bike. Nobody can see me ride it in my gym 😉

    My 456 has 8 speed XTR shifters which have been doing sterling service on several different builds since way back in the last millenium. Why would I want to change them 🙂

    still run 8 speed on a bike. See no need for change other than chains becoming a bit harder to source.

    8 speed still on my commuter… Works fine, is cheap.

    I am ’cause I’m 15 (therefore without job) and my dad had a really shiny spare XT cassette 8)
