you need an MTB on the roads round here.. haven’t had a road bike since I was a child

building a 1950’s lugged steel fixie, but as that’s for twatting about looking like a hipster it doesn’t count

I have an old rigid MTB thats been adapted for road use. In other words, it had slicks. 😆

No road bike here. Way too dangerous for me.

i’m buying a singlespeed flat bar roadrat in a couple of weeks to use for commuting etc, so i’m not sure really!

Couple of cx bikes but no full monty roadie. Be nice to have one but it would be a total luxury purchase for me, I’d rarely ride it.

I don’t…but then I only have/need 1 bike…thankfully I have no female gene in me so indecisiveness isn’t part of me…no need to decide which bike, just ride the 1 I have!

lots of people by the posts on here and the other very similar thread, i started back cycling in the 80’s with a muddy fox courier, but spent much time on the roads, due to a 2 year ban,then went out with local road club,didn’t take long to acquire a gazelle,old school campag gear, never looked back– got an Alan alu road bike, and a Mercian tourer for the long distance/camping trips.

I don’t have a road bike, but I do commute, nip to the shops, and sometimes poodle about on the roads on my MTB.

I have 2 ……what’s not to like ..? …it’s just a bike ..

No road bike, but i do have a rigid SS MTB with 1.6 slicks on it.

Yes, i understand that if i got one i could get fitter and quicker on the MTB, but i ride for fun not to be quicker than everyone else
