Whats the stuff called that normally covers TV screens or alike, its plastic but soft, like thick toilet tissue but?

Don't know its proper name or what it would be called.

*Edit I don't mean the film that comes on phone / iPod screens to protect it. I mean packaging which is loosely taped on.

Slightly off the subject but I still laugh about the name the americans gave to cardboard containers that raw plastic arrived at the moulders in…………………..Gaylords!!!! This was about 10yrs ago so may have changed since but spat my coffee out in a meeting with a supplier when he said they had "one gaylord left" 😀
