When the revolution comes, Joanna Lumley is the only popular choice for president.

Esther Rantzen and Alan Sugar are presumably also guaranteed prominent positions in the junta.

But who else has the righteousness, the skills, the charisma, the virtue and the experience to clean out the augean stables of Westminster and lead Britain into the sunlit uplands of our nation’s glorious future?

I nominate Jon Snow as Polite Inquisitor of the Republic

And of course, Melinda Messenger as Keeper of the Iron Throne of Justice

Your nominations ladies and gentlemen please.

For the tough job of cleaning up British politics, you need a man that’s tough on dirt…

Defenders of the Earth, Supergran and Dog would be my choices. I’d especially like it if Dogs ‘slightly disturbing’ wife could be the speaker…..

Chuck Norris does not clean up politics

Politics cleans itself up, and then asks Chuck Norris if it is clean enough

There can of course be but one choice:

Although I must say, Melinda M would quite possibly find a role for herself in my Cabinet…
