For long and complex reasons I’ve got both a Surface Pro4 and HP Spectre 360. Broadly the same specs – 8GB ram 256GB SSD, i7 and i5 respectively. Both immaculate. HP 2 years old, Surface Pro 6 months old.

As they’re so similar one has to go. I like the Surface Pro more but it also seems a bit less future proof / harder to maintain upgrade etc.

Which would you keep?

Both very good machines. As above whichever you pick up most.

Surface for me. Just don’t drop it – £400 to replace a cracked screen

Thanks – yeah they both seem very good so hard to choose really. Surface pro feels nicer but I’ve only had it a few weeks so maybe that’s just the novelty factor.

Not intended to be a stealth ad BTW once I’ve decided then I’ll put a legit ad up on the classifieds.
