Who was it that always used to say “Conti Vert Pros” to every thread about tyres?

Ah, Verts. Good tyres, just not fashionable any more. Back when STW first hit the internet they were. Maybe mud’s changed.

after putting a hole in the rear mountain king 2.2 on Whinlatter Altura trail, I got a Schwalbe Fat Albert 2.4″. It gripped like a mother******!!! could not believe it, have not wheelspinned a single time going uphill even standing up.

well I’m going to take off my 2.35 nevegals and put on my conti verts this week, optimistic I know but I think the grounds hard enough for them now…

I use my conti verts when it’s not too muddy and not too dry – would be fine in the dry but I prefer bigger volume tyres then.
