heading to the lake district for few days from poole , and on way back wouldn’t mind hitting some nice quiet single track thats not crowed , where to go ? thanks

Cannock would suit, about 10-15 mins from the M6. Sometimes it’s busy but heyho, you can only fit one person down a singletrack at once.
You could ride at my local woods, Hanchurch in Stoke and I could send some decent GPX routes, literally minutes off junc 15 M6,snot as fun as cannock though but will defo be less crowded.

Depends on what day though midweek it’s quiet enough, but weekends it’s like Fistral beach.

Stop at the woods behind Nationwide en route.

Llandegla wouldn’t be too far out of your way.

Whinlatter is mint but it’s not exactly ‘on the way home’ it’s more ‘before I set off for home’ make yer bloody mind up! 🙂

Peak District? Straight to Macc forest if you come off the M6 at Knutsford
