My previous default to these sorts of questions is the Salsa Cromoto for forks up to 470mm AtoC.

I like the Cromoto but it can be a bit “flappy”, something I would guess would be even more obvious looking at a longer 480mm ish lengths.

So …. Looking for suggestions for a rigid fork to run in place of a 100mm suspension fork.

I know Salsa make a bolt through Cromoto but should I look for carbon and then bolt through?

    Tapered fork suggestions preferable!

I’m also interested in this, and the Maxle fork has a longer AtC too.

    What frame are you riding?

    Nice.

In theory the tapered steerer and maxle should make a significant difference but it would be good to hear if anyone has a back to back comparison.
