  • Which shock pump?

My ‘rockshox’ one (they appear under other names) has started to leak around the connecting threads

The head has developed play such that in order to depress the valve on my shock, that the shock pump has to run past the threads on the shock too, and so it won’t engage proper
With an valve extension pipe it still leaks on the shock pump threads
One with a longer connecting head should help with the short threads on my specialized rear shock
Being albe to fold to go in the camelback sometimes would be nice too

    I’ve narrowed it down to:
    Topeak one
    or
SKS one with reinforced connection pipe
I’ve had 2 shock pumps before burst along the connection pipe

Which one would you reccommend (or avoid)? Any others that should suit?

I’ve had the early Topeak one (with the inline gauge) for several years now & it still works well.

How much use do these pumps get? Wearing out a shock pump?!

According to (Some) suspension manuals you are supposed to check the pressures every ride. I don’t use a shock pump anywhere near that often, but when setting sag or messing about with how shock/forks feel they get taken off/put back on a few times
Also mates borrow it now and again

Thanks for the offer, but after a quick google search it looks like the end connector (as with the rest of it except the handle) is the same as my rockshoz one and doesn’t work too well with the too few threads on my rear shock
