I’ve been riding my ’98 Kilauea on Continental Vertical 2.3 tyres but I’m needing some new tyres.
The Verts are the absolutely max size I can fit.
I don’t change tyres for different conditions and just ride XC for pleasure, would anyone reccommend a different tyre or should I just get another set of Verts?

I have verts – good, honest all rounders. Like you, I don’t change tyres till they are worn.

My Nobby Nics were waaaay better grip wise climbing, braking and cornering, and more supple – but wore out quickly.
My current Maxxis Ardents are ace, not tood raggy, but good alround grip, supple again and wearing well at the moment. I will put another Ardent on the back soon as it is starting to look worse for wear.
