I’m looking for lightweight waterproof to wear in the warmer months, I my current Altura one is a bit too heavy duty for the summer. Which ones are getting the best reviews? I want the impossible, lightweight, breathable, windproof and waterproof!

Gillet and accept wet arms. I didn’t own one at the start of the year, now I’ve got 3 after this summer! A black one for MTB (fassion victim), a fluro one for the road (felt very vunerable in black at dusk), and one without a mesh back for when it’s really pissing it down.

They do just enough to keep your core dry and warm, and even if your out for hours in torrential rain and get soaked through they still keep the windchill off your chest and therefore warmth.

    lightweight, breathable, windproof and waterproof!

Try skin – your own, preferably not someone else you’ve skinned!

Another +1 for gilet- keeps the bits you want dry dry, keeps the bits you want cool cool. Your arms are your radiators, so don’t cover them.

Or, to combine all the best suggestions, a skin gilet:

Alp-X Zip Off Jacket by Gore. Best of both worlds and breathable.

thanks for the replies, some good ideas there. Gillet /short sleeves will be the way to go.
