I’m looking for a chain guide to use on my 2012 zesty but not sure what is best to go for.

I’m running 1×10 with a zee clutch mech and Raceface NW chainring (34T) but I’m losing the chain on rougher stuff, thought it was clutch tension but I’m now running a new mech and chain and still having issues.

Will a top guide like the new hope one help, or should I have one at the top and bottom?

Check your chain length, and if that doesn’t helpo, the bwlow looks a good bet

MRP 1x worked well for me in the past.

Their chainguides seem a bit less faffy to me than some other brands.

+1 MRP X1. Not dropped a chain yet and not NW.

The Superstar one works well. Not dropped a chain since while riding. Occasionally it will drop when I stop and my crank goes backwards, making it a little awkward to get the chain back on.

+1 for the cheap Superstar one. Running at Raceface NW chainring myself that kept jumping off on the rough stuff. Not had any issues since fitting this.

Dont get the seat tube mounted one, its flimsy as fk. Get the BB mounted one:

Even the BB mounted superstar one is pretty flexy, it still works most of the time but it’s much easier to jam up the chain in one. Also not the easiest to set up, I don’t think the cage shape’s quite right. But still, good value. MRP 1X does the same job but better, no doubt there’s others.

Cheers, do you need an external BB to fit these type? Mines press fit.
Is there an option to use the e-type front mech mounting points?
