Just fitted my last 2 old XT cassettes bought at a reasonable price. What should I but now ?There are lots on CRC now but what compromise value/performance weight?

Used to run XT on everything – now run SRAM PG990 and love it!

Get whichever is going cheaper. My PG990 lasted no longer than XT, they weigh a bit more. I'd sooner have XT, but wouldn't bother to pay much more for it.

The slx one is very good fopr the money, it hasa an alu spider and only slightly heavier than XT. £30 on CRC

sram970 again! Heavy but tough. If you want light (and good value) go 990. Easy peasy.

SLX is very XT-like but only £30

    Just fitted one myself.

PG980s are also fairly cheap. Same type of spider as the SLX. I've got a couple which I downgraded from XT. Can't tell the difference in use.
