Most entry level bikes are stupidly short, even the ‘large’ or XL frames…

Can any one recommend me a bike for 6’6″ customer who doesn’t want to spend a fortune?

    Define ‘fortune’?

    I’m 6’7″ and i only ride 29ers now and 26ers don’t feel right anymore.

I had a variety of 26″ bikes before i plumped for a 23″ Rockhopper 29er and never looked back. My cheapest is an On One Inbred but that’ll still cost a fair bit to kit out.

This is on Chain Reaction and looks pretty good for the money and comes in 21″ & 23″. He may find that in 29ers a 21″ will be big enough (my inbred is 21″).

As mentioned, Specialized do Rockhopper’s and Hardrock’s up to a 23″ frame, starting at £340 for a Hardrock SE to Rockhopper Expert at £800. Or go up to a Carve 29er at £999.
