  • Where to go for a quiet holiday in the Balearics which won't break the bank

No kids, just me and the missus, looking for two weeks by the sea in a quiet resort in the Balearics. Any suggestions that won’t break the bank? Thanks

menorca will be best for a quiet time, so just look at the last minute websites and choose somewhere you like the look of.

Menorca is ace. Lovely little island, great people, some fantastic towns.

We hire an apartment on the north coast of Menorca. Beautiful island (if you avoid the chavvy Brit trash resorts).

Ciutadella is a lovely town. Mahon is nice down by the sea too. if you drive round the coast, some of the bays are stunning. And there’s that beach that has dust for sand where the bounty advert was filmed.

    This is above Mahon.

we did Menorca a few years ago on a late availability. 2 weeks, we were ready to come home after 10 days. Ciutadella is indeed nice, Fornells looks quite nice too. Cala’n Forcat is quiet as chavvy Brit resorts go but has absolutely no authentic Spanish-ness about it.
