We’ve stayed in a few places. The nicest was a cabin in Bluebell Wood, Machynlleth. Balcony over the Dyfi river and valley. Some cabins seem better than others as they are independently owned but ours was top spec. Great natural riding from the door and the Mach trails very close by. NyA and CyB are a short, scenic drive away. We are half considering buying one. Its nice in the ‘getting away from it all in nice surroundings’ sense rather than 5* hotel, depends what you are after.

B&B, self catering, yurts and camping on site.

Stunning location. Great natural riding from the door (Cadair Idris). Coed Y Brenin just down the road in one direction and Mach in the other.

Pub just a short ride down the Mawddach trail too.

Just looked at the cabin Nickjb mentioned, and yes, i’m ready to move in one! Looks like a great place to stay with loads of riding choices nearby…
