Going to a gig at Manchester Arena next week, staying over at a nearby hotel so will be arriving mid afternoon. Gig doors open 7.30pm so need to find somewhere to eat, any recommendations?
Nothing fancy – thinking pub grub rather than Michelin star, and being a Yorkshire man on t’wrong side of t’hill, not too expensive

The food in Brewdog looked good when I was in there a couple of weeks ago.

If ones a meat lover try Ben Brasilz on the corner or Oldham Rd and Gt Ancoats st, early afternoon should be quiet and it won’t break the bank, buffet is enough to fill the average bloke but then the meats start flowing and that’s the game changer

There’s a Bem brasil on Deansgate too, bit nearer to the Arena.

I like Home Sweet Home – it’s a little bit different to the usual Poncy-Burgers everywhere in Manchester.

The Marble Arch pub is ace. An absolutely lovely building, great beer, and the pub grub is top notch. Just a small stroll from the arena too. All the boxes ticked! 🙂

+1 for home sweet home. Ate there the other week before an arena gig. Not too far to walk etc. Food was good and service quick enough.

Another vote for luck lust liquor and burn. One of my favourite places.

Mr toms chophouse (no connextion…) does an amazing corned beef hash like you’ve never had in your life before. Next door to the Rapha shop too…

Grill on the alley/grill on New York street for braserie type food
