Hi guys, I’ve got a cx bike with sram rival 22 hydro group set. Brakepads haven’t lasted long at all, 3 weeks use and Ive worn the backplates out on the pads, so basically been braking on metal!!

The thing is I’ve looked all over the internet, but can’t seem to find any replacement pads for them. Really struggling and don’t want to pay top dollar for 2 sets, I have seen a paid for 20 quid, but thats 40 quid for whole bike, and I’ve gone through a set in less than a month = too expensive.
Anyone know replacements I can use, i.e. A2Z pads (can’t see them on their website)

Below is the link to the type of pads I need.

Annoying as I just can’t use my bike now. I can’t be the only one in this situation!!!

Until they’re a bit mor common you won’t get aftermarket pads. So unless they are the same as another manufacturers pads you’re stuck with sram ones.

Thats what I’m fearing, and at that price its a expensive layout. I wasn’t impressed how quickly they wore out, granted into winter, but my mtg always lasts longer than that. Maybe the pad material is thinner to start with.

I had to get mine from Giant.. Mine lasted way longer than yours though, over 7mths and hard use too..

I bought two sets but only had to swap out the fronts as they were the only ones knackered.

Most of my risings been off-road and proper grime too 😐 I’d have a word with SRAM about it..

That looks like a new design to me…..

Are they not the same as Elixr pads?
EDIT Superstar have them – Pad ‘A7’

humm, I do hope a manufacturer gets making aftermarket asap. really wasn’t impressed with needing to replace. One of the front pads had completely gone, i.e. no pad material and just braking on the backplate. I’ll have a look at giant and see if they do any, but i recon yours must of been older as i don’t think sram rival hydro brakes have been out long, could be wrong on that though.

Swissstop have a pad to suit but they are expensive. Lots in the States but Halfrauds have them, http://www.halfords.com/cycling/cycling-parts/disc-brakes/swissstop-d32-s-sram-hd-pad
Also seen these from the Germans, http://www.bike24.com/p266545.html
