Broke my doeore front 2x shifter on todays ride and so it won’t shift…. can’t seem to buy it alone without the rear one…. any suggestions?

SLX are switchable – Deore maybe also. Might be worth confirming before buying as it might open up your options a little.

Does it strictly need to be 2x? I set my 3x shifter to 2x just by setting the limit screws appropriately – it is then impossible to get the 2nd click.

Wouldn’t a 3x work? Just set up the stops properly and have a spare click below the granny position that essentially does nothing… That’s what everyone used to do.
