Three adults, four kids 15 to 6, needs to have a good beach, clear water,pool slides and all that.

Not at war and not too far to fly.

Drive to Mecklenburg and the lakes north of Berlin. It’s genteel countryside, good access to the Baltic Sea, and filled with fabulous, canoe-able fresh water.

On second thought, don’t. I hate meeting other Brits when I’m in Germany. 😕

Honestly, though, it is very nice, and perfect for a family.
