    to get 4th in the TDF?

    I always thought he was just a pretty good track cyclist, which obviously isn't quite as endurance heavy as the TDF.

    Is this his first TDF?

    It's his third Tour.
    He has specialised in the track and time trials in the past, but endurance has always been a major part of his training and racing.
