    Evening all,

After an off today I need to buy a batter connected similar to he ones fitted to magicshine battery packs.
Any ideas who would do these if they are available.

    Thanks

Maplin if you want to buy in the flesh, ebay if you can wait for postage.

Maplin would be better to ensure you get the correct one.

Their website was the first place I looked. Couldn’t find them anywhere.

No still drawing a blank on maplin and eBay.
I’d assume these things are just called battery pack connectors ? Push connectors ?

    What else

    Cheers

You want something like this http://mobile.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=43091, or the male equivalent. That’s the one for dx lights, but looks like magicshine lights use a narrower connector so best to go in to a shop.

If you’re soldering it yourself make sure you keep the polarity the same.

What I’ve done before with sigma lights when I couldn’t buy a replacement connector was just to buy an extension cable for the lights, cut the cable and join two bits of cable instead. You have to take great care when cutting the cable with the battery on if you can’t disconnect the battery as you definitely don’t want to short it out
