Like an idiot I order an 8mm allen key with my new chain rings when I needed a 10mm to remove the cranks

So where is cheap to buy a single allen key

I’m imagining that there is national chain that’s amazing for tools that I don’t know about

Halfords, Screwfix, Euro Car Parts all have tools.

Independent DIY or tool store are great for bits like this. Can’t help in your area but there are two within walking distance of me so I don’t think it is a rare thing. Or one of these from the bike shop, handy tool:

Don’t buy a cheap sh*t one though – I had a cheap hex key open up like a banana and slice a chunk out of my hand while using it to remove a pulley from an alternator a few years back.
