i’ve never really paid attention before. all the gulleys in my local woods are covered in a layer of leaves which are stopping the thick mud underneath from drying out. anyone else find this a pain in the asre? they’re especially annoying in the swoopy bermy switchbacky bits which just seem to be filled with mud and leaves at the mo. made things interesting on todays ride!

When someone takes a rake to them!

Never, I’m secretly stalking you and every time I see you start a trail I pay elves to run down it throwing leaves on the floor

i was actually thinking about taking a brush to some of them but a rake is an even better idea… Does anyone have any tips on making cheeky trail features in local woods such as berms and small ladder drops without them being demolished by nosey walkers? How do people do this sort of thing on the sly?

Find the most deserted spot you can.
Keep it subtle.
Hide your tools very well.
Don’t have obvious entry points from main trails.
Don’t nail stuff to trees in commercial forests.
Be mentally prepared for someone ruining all your work.
