After a huge Xmas lunch, a bit of cheese and biscuits is about all I can manage on Xmas evening.

    Which begs the question…

And what about the Christmas Cake? Mrs V just cut the damn thing while I was away, my flabber is ghasted! Surely it’s Christmas day, post lunch and a quick spin round the block to let off wind?

    Is nothing sacred??

Christmas cheese? Is that made from Rudolph’s milk or something?

You cant have our Christmas cake and ride. Mrs K is Bajan, which basically means the fruit has soaked up a litre of rum and a 750 of fortified wine during the year since last xmas to before it went into the cake last week.

    Its quite potent.

There is no wrong time, as long as it’s been out to come up to room temperature for a while. Please no cheese straight from the fridge.

Cheese doesn’t go off, it just gets tastier.

Also, don’t have port? Try a nice wheat beer, or a glass of Marsala (much cheaper than port and can be used in cooking to make delicious sauces)

Violent food poisoning I had would disagree with that.

Though it was soft cheese. Bit iffy, just chop out the colourful bits, yeah it will be fine. Oops!

    Try a nice wheat beer

Another thing that makes me chuck. Any other beer is fine, but wheat beer really does nasty things to me.

Anything is Christmassy if you put the word on the packaging.

Looks like the same Indian snack platter as last week to me but clearly, it’s significantly Christmasseryer now.

Open the Cheese now, let it breath. Keep in a cool lader/place and should be fine for scoffing in the morning.

Yesterday lunchtime if this household is anything to go by. It was my b’day on the 20th and I received a hamper from my mum with birthday Christmas cheese selection. Winner!

The danger of opening the cheese now is you may run out by Christmas Day.

    Too right it is.

Well OK, they didn’t put “Christmas” on the bottle but you know they’re aiming for the festive bog-cleaning market!

I posted a pic of this on my FB a while ago and somebody asked if it can get rid of a stubborn yule log.

    😆
