  • When is a 'Loyalty' Offer an Offer?

I lost my Cats Eye LD1100 last week on the downs outside Lewes which I was a bit gutted about. Decided to take advantage of a 15% Gold Loyalty offer from Wiggle to get another one and bring the price within reach of my limited funds. However the ‘loyalty’ discount didn’t apply as it was already discounted according to the mail response I recieved. So I got it from Merlin instead with the VIP offer making it nearly the same price as I thought it was going to be at Wiggle. My questions; why is it a loyalty offer if it has no impact on a discount already available to everyone? And why didn’t they make this clearer in the first place and save me wasting my time? At least I don’t have to palm off the Haribo anymore.

they’ve always been clear it means you’ll get ‘at least’ that amount off their normal price and that other discounts would be taken into account?
