    Cos sometimes you can’t always bail in the way you would like and it would be nice to avoid pain from the kind of impact as seen at around the 3:55 mark in this video

    Such an item does exist, it’s aimed at beginner snowboarders who also tend to bash their backsides. Google around snowboarding protective clothing and I’m sure you’ll find something.

    I should think that if under 20 then you should MTFU.
    If over 40 then you have left it too late (possibly).

    In all seriousness though. Flat pedals and a finger covering the rear brake should be all you need.
