I may be able to get my hands on a few dozen wheelie bins. And I was trying to think how I could use them as a project for some kids who are not succeeding in mainstream education.

Was thinking we could turn them into flower and veg planters and mobile garden tool stations. Has anyone done or seen anything that I can use as a template or inspiration?

Vertical coffins to save space in cemeteries? Save money on coffin bearers too as one person can just wheel it along. Also eco friendly as they can be reused as long as you put holes in the bottom to let the fluids drain out.

You used to see a few at Welsh enduros. Cut the front out, screw in some shelves and you have a great way of taking all your petrol cans, tools and spare kit to the fuel check which is always half a mile up a forestry track from the van. Smart ones had bmx wheels for off road use

Many a drunk student has ridden one down Baldwin street – NZ’s steepest. Occasionally one dies 🙁

They can be used to wash Jess Ennis when she gets a bit grubby. If you remove the water you can also store Jess Ennis between events.

When my house was burgled in 1997 they used my wheelie bin as getaway transport for the computer lkit they nicked. They even burnt it out afterwards!

We have some at work with raffle tickets in for the smaller charities to draw the winning tickets from. Not really a practical use for most other people, though.
