    Hi,

What’s the deal with off road bike access in France? Do they have an equivalent of bridleways like England or is it free for all like Scotland, or something else?

Fill yer boots on the footpaths basically 🙂 (But not in National Parks unless specifically marked for VTT)

Not sure of the legal situation but I’ve ridden there a lot. Some popular walking areas have ‘VVT interdite’ signs but everywhere else seems open. Never had any hassle or unfriendliness.

Pretty much like Scotland with the exception that local mayors can make bylaws against it in their commune or on individual trails etc. So it can be quite hard to tell sometimes if its legal.
