I'm quite fond of this too, but then it is mine.

Right back at ya - SteveHine
I can't see how you wouldn't love my lil' beauty:

A True Classic... and way better than those skinny wheeled "Racers" ! lol
@Downhille.... and how many links and bushes / bearings does a modern full susser have. It's OK you can like a PRST1-4 :-p
This has got to be up there

though I still have a hankering for one of these

Classic Italian steel
The Colnago above also fits the same bill. DeRosa is nice except the wheels.
Deano's Speedvagen CX is a thing of sublime beauty.
steel so not really race bikes
Now that's funny - many more races won on steel bikes than anything else....
edit - those Pinarellos are completely hideous, how anyone could think otherwise I've no idea.. they did make some nice bikes though...
I nominate my Litespeed ultimate

U.z.
Baums FTW, but Cannondales a close second. Anyone posting a Pinarello is blind or psychologically damaged. FACT.
My favourite off-the-peg contender:
I've never seen so many stinking bikes in one thread.
man is this the ugliest race bike thread!!!
Road bikes just do nothing for me ;-/
Forever imprinted on my soul..

And forever under my ass..
Oh, all right. Engraved Ti loveliness. Not a sticker in sight. Never seen another in real life. Needs some newer blingy bits to make it a seriously blingy thing.

Bikebouy's Klein defines a whole era of mountain biking. Beautiful.
you got enough stem spacers there ^^^?
that Merlin frame.....hmmmm

+1 for the look Roadbike ,however the look Mtb reminds me of a dog taking a $hit.
Bars have been dropped since I took that, I just have't brought myself to cut the stem yet!
It's currently hibernating...
It's the only bike I've ever owned that total strangers, with seemingly no interest in cycling have commented "nice bike". Often.
Merlin... RIP
djaustin I like your bike so don't take my comments as offensive.
For looks only, though I assume you use that I'd say
Nice proper road pillar instead of the mountain-bikey Easton.
For photos only remove the pump, saddle bag and light.
And I can't bear to see a bike with a computer fitted, horrid ruins the lines.
And if that's where you need the spacers then so be it, shame though.
Seen one at a show, very nice.
Parlee looks stunning
If it was about 2006, you probably saw mine. I bought it from Fatbirds after they'd built it up for the shows. I now can manage with one spacer, but to be honest, I'd have been better with the longer head tube of the more recent version. I just like the horizontal top tube.
If you look closely, you will see that it also sports Campagnolo Centaur in grey to match the Ti frame. Pedals will be replaced with white, and I'm seriously thinking Brooks leather bar tape and a Swallow saddle. Anyway, the finance controller has approved new wheels this spring
.
that Merlin frame.....hmmmm
We had one of the very first Cielos they did, carbon tubes, ti lugs with all the intricate detailing. Looked fooking horrible IMO!
English Cycles is a good shout (C-Ls road bike link, less that clown bike), really like what Rob's doing there, the integrated Exposure Flare mount is great!
Now that I like. What is it?

And the Niner again

hmmm, I thought about the Venge, and whilst it is AWESOME, it's not quite beautiful
Very few look elegant! Some of those road bikes just look cheap tat, even though they're carbon.
Understated is always the way to go.
resists posting up a pic of mine
Like all the swoopy carbon and technology, but for a roady this one...

Or for a mountain bike, this one. Every time I look at it I have to go for a ride, it's becoming a serious problem!
A race bike... with a bell on it? Surely disqualification there.
Posting road bikes on Singletrack? Come on, you should all be ashamed... Go join Roadracer.com or some other shaven legged bollockx.
...
The Venge looks awesome from both angles, not usually a fan of carbon road bikes but that is a stiking design.
Obviously it should have white Onza porcs on it.
Cannondale do have some lovely bikes! For off-the-peg they're hard to beat... Mind you. this is about $25k worth...

I agree with theswede, that carbon v10 is lovely, surprised noones posted a jones.
