I’m wondering what 29″ XC tyre I could install to lose a bit of overall diameter therefore dropping the frame height?

Racing ralph 2.1? Rocketron? 2.1?

Bonty XR0 and XR1 are pretty dinky. Smart Sam’s in a 1.75?

29er is just 700c

so any cx tyre

Put some 650b wheels in. That should drop it plenty!

Want to downgrade rear tyre grip from 2.25 nobby nic to something a bit faster rolling but don’t want to increase the frame height… ideally id lower it if I can

A Maxxis Ikon might be worth considering, just make sure you get an EXO version.

Trying to drop frame height but changing tyres seems a bit mental.

Putting some 650b wheels in is probably the best suggestion yet.

I have some XR0 and XR1 tyes in 1.9″.

The XR0 get ripped to shreds quick easily there really are a race only tyre, and they have basically no grip.

The XR1 “I” love.

They are great for summer riding in the chilterns but I would nt use em in winter.

I would only use them if your doing a bit of road or something more similar to CX.
There not “proper” mtb tyres by today standards.

Thunder Burt is like a Racing Ralph for cornering but a bit faster rolling (I wouldn’t it is say massively faster though). You get a nice small drift until the cornering knobs grip and rescue you from my experience. I like it on the back in summer.
