    As per title really!

Is it necessary to find a box that they’ll fit in (bit of a PITA)or would they be ok just wrapped in binbags etc with a label on?

    Cheers,

they will “fold” (with a twist) into a circle at least half the circumference of the rim, and if they can take it into a circle 1/4 the circumference.

descent gear used to just stick a couple bits of paper round em with the address on …. (as a fully round tire) and just chuck em in the mail ….

Twist once, to form a figure of 8. fold, zip tie and then box or bag to suit.

NB, it is possible to get away with three loops instead of two when you’ve done this a while and depending on tyre.

Hold at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock. Twist one hand one way and the other the other way. Tyres will make a figure of 8. Rotate to overlap hands. this has quartered the size of the tyre without mashing the beads. Cram into jiffy bag.

This is what I do, use folded plastic bags as wide ribbons to tie tyres together, and stick a label on.
