Looking to be Third time lucky and buying either the GOPRO
or the Contour HD head cam.
But what software are you using for the GOPRO and IF you have the
Contour HD Are you using the Contour HD software, and if so is it easy
to use, or are you using another software and if so what are you using.

horses for courses…. some use Adobe Premiere Pro others use Windows Movie Maker.. I myself use Sony Vegas Video (I record with 2 Veho Muvi cams)
be best to download trail versions of the different software and see how you get on with the differing software and then settle on one that has the best workflow for you…

i got windows movie maker free on my lappy so use that. ive found helmet cams far too shaky for rocky7 riding so just put cameras in trees or get someone else to hold them!

WMM does OK but it's not very good at adding text, weirdly limited selection of fairly useless effects, while the more simple, usable ones lack usability (small character limit, lack of options in general) I'm right fed up of that.

Ohh and if you don't already have it and you go with another Gopro, get the chest mount, it's mint.

Thanks Northwind Yer I want the chest mount to be honest.
Had seen this GoProUser.freeforums.org Which still worries
me as there seems to be alot of people with problems with the
    new GoPro HD cams.

    Adobe Premiere Elements.

Moviemaker is OK for basic stuff, but doesn't support .mov files which is annoying if you buy the ContourHD, which is a great headcam.

I've been using Xilisoft Movie Maker 6 support HD easy to use is basic there is nothing flash about it but it does work and doesn't hog massive resources pretty quick at rendereing to a movie too.

I use Windows movie maker with .mov on W7. (I do have a codec pack installed though )
