my local playground (albeit a 30 min train/car ride out of town)

not much in the way of trails around Munich… there are the trails along the river, but they are currently a bit of a mudfest. being mostly flat with a few short (20m) climbs and decents you need to be a bit of a whippet on a whippet bike to make the most of them. i am neither a whippet or have a whippet bike.
Give me a buzz if your visiting these parts and fancy seeing some of our coastal stuff 🙂
On the ground…

Local hills have some great gravel shooting tracks, and some nice bits of singletrack if you know where to look, also some nice all weather trails like this…

I’m very lucky here. Photo mid way down Boney Elbows.. 750m or so from my house!
I don’t think I could live anywhere better, we are surrounded by superb trail 🙂
On the doorstep? At the rented house is next doors car parked just far enough onto the pavement to stop anyone getting past with a pram, at the other one that we’ve just bought is a garden that resembles day of the triffids.
