right so, everyone on here probably knows I’m in a bit of a rush to sell my evil build but tbh, not willing to accept silly offers as I might as well pay for storage and start splitting when I get the time in the future.

But in all seriousness, I want genuine honest figures and feedback from the forum as I have put a lot of effort not to mention money into this build.

Here is the kit list of which is all new (one light muddy bridleway ride old).

    09 evil d.o.c.
The frame is triple butted custom Reynolds 631 steel and is in regular size.

09 Pike 454 coil u-turn with two springs.
09 Avid ultimates with carbon levers.
09 Xtr m972 carbon rear mech.
    09 Xtr shifters.
    09 Xtr chainset
09 Dt Swiss e540 on specialised stout mango hubs with 20mm bolt through front and 135mm spacing 10mm bvolt through rear with a hanger banger to fit. 2.35″ chunder dual compound tyres.
09 Xt cassette and front mech setup with 18gears.
    09 Thomson stem and post.
    09 Dmr v12 pedals.
09 Odi yeti lockon grips and a choice of two different saddles, one san marco aspide Ti railed / carbon moulded or a charge spoon cro-mo railed saddle.

To those people who have put up nasty tags on my advert and other adverts that I have replied too. – all I can say is that I’m actually sound in real life and that I wouldn’t be so quick to judge and make snide comments as some on here (you know who you are).

Just looking for a genuine buyer and which I will accept a sensible price for which the kit is worth, not the £1675 or best offer lark.

Forgot the English don’t like bartering 😛

To those who do post up genuine posts, thankyou for your time.

This might come across as a soppy post but heyho!

Which two springs do you have for the Pikes? I am after a firm one.

I would say £1k to 1200, starting high obviously. Why you selling a one ride old bike? And the amount of time you’ve spent posting replying you could have split most of it 😀 good luck

Basically, I’m moving into a shoebox with no room to store where I shall be living.

Need a knock around commuter that I can lock up outside that won’t get pinched by the snotty toerags.

    Ermm, probably?

ok then, thanks for the pricing.

Between £800 and a grand. Personally? I’d take the 10 minutes it’ll take to pull it apart enough to store it under a bed.

It’s purely bad timing on well, I presume my part as my tenancy is up at the end of this week and I have found a small place nearer where I am working.

It’s a bugger all right as this build is absolutely stunning.

yeah thats a good point from nickc bikes pack pretty flat, sell the odd bit and keep the fancy stuff under the bed.

It’s worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. End of.

You’ve spent more time on the forum than it would’ve taken you to strip it completely back to a bare frame TBH.

It just seems a waste to split after having built it up from scratch.

I’ll have a ponder on that idea as it may be best bet for now.

Now that those cranks are selling for £440, cassette £80 etc, you’d be mad not to split it! You’ll make far more though it is more effort…

I’ve followed your saga with some sympathy – and not a little amusement. It’s an awful time to be trying to sell an expensive bike – people have CC bills to pay in Jan and are worried about jobs etc. If you need the money then go through the hassle of splitting because there is a market for those parts. If it’s just about the space then perhaps wait until May/June when people are considering a new bike for dry trails and the whole economic end-of-the-world-thing is revealed to be a storm in a teacup. (I could be wrong on that last one.)

Wot actual size is a regular DOC out of interest? i.e for shortarses or 6 footers?

I’ll give you £900 for it tomorrow?

    Any use?

£900 would be a good deal for you titaniumtit. No way you’re going to get anywhere near what it would cost to build.

How much for the Pike X-Firm spring?

From what I’ve experienced lately, it’s worth probably half of whatever you want for it.
