    condition wise is it a complete bog or is it quite rideable??

    thinking of taking a mate up there and i havent been for over 3 years so has it changed much??

    Er, its never a bog. All sand and gravel so it drains very well. Some trails are wet and mulchy and best avoided just cuz they’ll get effed if ridden. Large parts of Sherbrook Valley / Brocton are infested witha a tree disease so singletrack there is off limits.

    If your referring to Follow Your Dad leisure trail then thats changed alot, there are new bits and some old bits are closed.

    Sections 2 and 12 are closed. But there are diversions posted..

    If you fancy trying some of the “off-piste” runs then we’re meeting at Birches Valley Visitors Centre about 9:30 – 9:45 on Sunday morning. I have a nice run strung together of about 2 – 2.5hrs.

    Takisawa (and others) MTBers have been praised by the conservation / tree hugger peeps for observing the off limits rule, only a few months left hopefully and we can go play around there again.
