    Not keen on Hammerite particularly since the formulation changed a few years back . looking for recommendations of a simple “one hit” no prime paint that lasts on outdoor metalwork..namely a garden table and hammock stand. Nothing fancy needed …brush or spray but preferably fairly inexpensive!

    What’s wrong with Hammerite? Don’t they still do both smooth and textured versions? Fair range of colours too.

    http://www.trimite.com/products.html some of this stuff is used to paint things stood in the sea for 15 years minimum

    Just started painting bikes with it ala stove enamelling

    Rustoleum combicolour as a good replacement for Hammershite or Paragon enamel.
